I took this photo with my wife and son watching the sunset. We were on the beach in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. We were vacationing and still lived in suburban Philadelphia at that time. In that moment taking in that spiritual event that was named dusk by someone somewhere in time. The waves moved endlessly with a musical improvisation so unique and yet never to be performed in the same manner. The brisk cool sea breeze whooshed past my face. The clouds moved with a graceful dance with that same dance partner who cools my face as well. Which one of us asks, “may I interrupt this dance”?! The warm bright sun moving further and further down over the horizon of the seven seas. Then as I became wonderfully aloof and serene taking all this in it happened! A seagull effortlessly gliding on those same winds and gentle breezes travels to its place of rest to prepare for another day’s birth. The seconds, minutes and hours have a movement of their own do they not? With that being said in this moment I move on.
